Veronika Anna was born in Toruń and she is still emotionally tied to this city. In her family, things have always been recorded: holidays, more or less spontaneous trips, evenings and mornings, happiness and sadness. Scenes from everyday life. She believes that captured images are the carrier of common memory. Now she lives in Łódź; she graduated from culture and film studies.

She believes that the most important aspect of photography is depicting feelings and emotional states; capturing the moment which comes back later on, full of sentiment, melancholy and nostalgia. Memorizing those volatile and beautiful moments and the will to visualize imagination influences the technique implemented by her while taking pictures. Many years of experimenting and "taking pics" became a creative interest and the will to depict her own vision of reality on a photographic film. Showing what is internal in the external sphere. Recently, she has come back to the roots when it comes to her technique and style – from using digital cameras, through SLR cameras, to old analog photography. She has a collection of old Soviet cameras (Smiena, Fed, Zenit, Lubitel). Photography is for her capturing images from memory. Such images are neither perfect nor sharp. This is why she choses the world of photographic films and membranes. Polaroids and classic techniques create the possibility of capturing what is imperceptible, fuzzy and imprisoned in immobility. She believes these are the most proper means of presenting past moods as well as depicting the oneiric world of women, demons, fairy tales and myths. Art folklore and folk beliefs are another area in which she works as a photographer.

    ;)
